What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Chef position at Four Quarters Brewing, LLC?
We’re looking for an experienced culinary professional to join our Winooski home base as Head Chef. Having developed a loyal following since we launched our new home base in 2021, we are now building a high performing leadership team to take the taproom to the next level and beyond. Our taproom is the public face of Four Quarters, and we use it to provide an immersive experience for our customers. We strive to produce exceptional beer and delicious complimentary food selections to be consumed in a safe, comfortable, and clean environment. Operations run 7 days a week for lunch and dinner with a seating capacity of 200 people. This role will be taking over for an experienced chef who is opening his own venue, so the team and food offering are in great shape. That said, we are excited for someone to make their mark and Four Quarters, and to develop a food program that supports our broader brand goals and values.
You’ll be supported and guided by an experienced management team, and will work alongside great operators from brewing to marketing to taproom management…and everything in between! Your previous experience, team-first approach, and passion for delivering excellent hospitality will put you as a front runner for the position. Ideally, you’ll be excited to jump in and get busy, want to stick around for a while, have a love for all things beer, and be looking to grow along with the business.
As a successful candidate:
- You’re a lover of great food, beer, culture and people (both those that work for us and those that drink and eat with us).
- You’re prepared to pitch in and help wherever there is a need—although there will be admin work, we are a team-oriented business and “getting your hands dirty” isn’t as much of a saying as a daily occurrence!
- You’ll support a positive and collaborative culture, as well as have a passion to develop team members.
- You’ll ensure that our focus is always on the guest and their experience.
