JOB DESCRIPTION
The Warehouse Returns Inventory Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the overall management of returned items/goods into the warehouse. The role will include the development, performance and maintenance of the inventory of returns/stock control to produce an efficient system and receipts solution, maximizing performance against pre-agreed targets and control.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain and improve mechanisms for running the warehouse returns process, including surveying and measuring the inventory of returns/stock control, returns process, outcomes and give feedback to the appropriate internal entities.
· Utilize agreed systems to manage the warehouse returns process and stock control functions, analysis and documenting.
· The development of plans for the warehouse, inventory of returns/stock control and returns process to contribute towards organization targets.
· Support to all other departments with related interests.
· Reporting (content and format as agreed) as required.
· Delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review.
· Set an example for team members and organization as a whole of commitment, warehousing expertise, work ethics and habits and personal character.
· Maintain accurate records.
· Adhere to all organization policies and procedures.
· Interact and cooperate with all members of the organization, its suppliers and customers.
· From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.
· You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Manager.
· You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organization generally.
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPOSIBILITIES
You have responsibility for one full-time direct report and one part-time employee shared with another department.
PEOPLE OR EQUIPMENT
You are responsible for the efficiency, performance, and safety of your staff members by ensuring good safety measures are in place. You must be able to operate and forklift and electric picker.
HOURS
Your usual hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday hours for special projects. However, because of the nature of the job you may be required to perform some additional hours including overtime. You will be expected to work when needed to meet the needs of the team and your targets.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school degree/GED required.
· Thorough understanding of warehousing, inventory of returns/stock control and returns process management, requirements and dynamics.
· Able to learn and use new software
· Ability in customer/supplier relationship management
· Leadership with ability to motivate and manage a team
· Proven ability to coach and develop others
· High degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings
· Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
· Ability to work under pressure
· Strong organization and documentation skills.
