Responsibilities Provide the guest with personal, gracious, and professional service, perceptive to their individual wants and needs. Provide the guest with thorough knowledge of the merchandise and all menu items offered for sale, both within The Hualalai Coffee & Trading Company and in all other retail outlets of the resort. Translate this knowledge into creative up selling techniques to promote daily and monthly sales targets. Provide the Hualalai Trading Company Manager, ADOFB and the Director of Retail with feedback on guest response to our product line, thereby participating in the definition of our inventory mix, and preventing any out of stock occurrences. Learn and execute all tasks associated with the daily operation of the Hualalai Coffee Company, in partnership with the Hualalai Trading Company Ohana. Examples of these tasks may include and are not limited to: Opening and closing responsibilities must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Word and Excel must have basic knowledge of operating a gas pump Receiving, pricing, and merchandising of food and beverage inventory must have ability to lift 20-50lbs ie. cases of wine or kegs, to actively participate in performing physical inventory of other Trading Company and Coffee Company, Wash utensils and other smallware equipment Food & Beverage service and production: Coffee Drinks Fresh Squeezed Juices Blended Fruit Smoothies Must have ability to be flexible with scheduling as the occupancy varies Learn and execute all tasks associated with the daily operation of the Hualalai Trading Company, in partnership with the Hualalai Trading Company Ohana. Examples of these tasks may include and are not limited to: Opening and closing responsibilities Receiving, pricing, and merchandising of retail and food & beverage inventory Grocery, wine and food & beverage service Gasoline and postal services Maintaining stock levels and that service areas are in clean condition. Assist in monthly inventories Attendance to staff meetings Have basic knowledge of computer systems. Responsible for flow management concentrating on busy areas first. Desired Qualifications and Skills Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage One to two years previous experience in a Manager or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.
