Position Summary:
A DQ Team Member is responsible for providing superior customer service and products quickly, accurately and safely according to standards set by Fourteen Foods (FF) and International Dairy Queen (IDQ). Your goal is to meet or exceed each Guest’s expectations on every visit in the areas of quality, service, cleanliness, and consistency. Team Members demonstrate friendliness, hospitality, respect, and genuine care and concern towards Guests and co-workers alike throughout the course of completing all assigned tasks.
Essential Functions:
Sales, Service and Community (85%)
- Learns and masters all tasks assigned while working various stations within the restaurant. Uses available training materials, aids, and technologies to perform duties consistently in accordance with Fourteen Foods and IDQ standards.
- Maintains a clean, sanitized, and orderly workstation at all times in order to maximize food safety, product integrity and workflow efficiency. Stocks and restocks product and materials as needed to meet business needs.
- Always puts the needs of DQ Fans as his/her top priority and ensures they are provided a level of service and hospitality that consistently meets or exceeds Guest expectations in all sales channels (dine-in, drive-thru, pickup, delivery, etc.). Relentlessly pursues excellence in product quality, speed-of-service, order accuracy, cleanliness, and overall friendliness and hospitality.
- Follows all safety and security procedures in order to protect Guests and Team Members alike. Takes proactive measures to prevent accidents and reports all safety and security-related incidents and/or concerns immediately per Company policy.
- Assists as needed in maintaining facilities (inside and out), including but not limited to picking up the parking lot, cleaning tables, chairs, booths and counters, sweeping/mopping floors, emptying trash receptacles and removing trash, cleaning restrooms, cleaning equipment, washing doors/windows, washing dishes, etc.
Systems and Process Management (10%)
- Ensures all food safety policies and procedures are practiced and maintained at all times. Preps, cooks, holds, stores, and rotates products and materials according to product specifications, food safety procedures, and operating policies. Maintains cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene standards that mitigate risk of foodborne illness or product contamination. Reports all food quality issues or concerns to management immediately.
Administration (5%)
- Perform miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum Age: Must be 16 years of age or older.
Experience and Training
- No previous work experience required. 6 months of experience in fast-food restaurant or related preferred.
Other:
- Ability to be trained and knowledgeable in all areas of the restaurant, including grill, chill, and service.
- Above average math skills needed to operate cash register, count and return change, and balance cash drawer.
- Ability and willingness to work cohesively as part of a team, demonstrating respect, a positive attitude and good manners in all interactions with supervisors and co-workers.
- Neat and clean personal appearance and proper personal hygiene.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location. Fluency in English may be essential for certain customer service stations within this position.
