As the Director of Revenue, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to maximize revenue across all Europcar brands and channels, surpassing company targets. Your role will be pivotal, encompassing the delivery of precise customer demand forecasting, strategic optimization of business mixes, and close coordination with various teams. You'll be able to lead a high-performing team, driving transformative changes in best practices and team dynamics. Additionally, you'll be in charge of championing the development of revenue management technology, which will directly impact our company's success.
Primary Responsibilities:
Revenue Planning and Forecasting
- Coordinate the regular delivery of the operational revenue forecast, working closely with key stakeholders to incorporate business objectives, sales channel trends, and known medium-term fleet and operational considerations.
- Work closely with the Financial Planning team to refine the forecast in each cycle.
- Maintain an effective, timely, and accurate operational forecast to support capacity and operations planning.
Trading and RM Optimization
- Lead supply to achieve utilization targets.
- Identify revenue opportunities as part of the forecasting process and work together with Pricing and Capacity Management to recommend opportunities where price can be used as a lever to grow, or slow demand or capacity changes can improve performance.
Best Practice Development
- Lead and facilitate developing, documenting, and continuously improving best practices for Revenue Management processes.
- Facilitate the team in developing the BP.
- Development of KPIs for the team, measuring the effectiveness of actions and activity in addition to the commercial result.
RCM Technology Development
- Be the US champion supporting the development and leading the implementation of RCM technology and best practices in line with the Group RCM developments.
- Contribute to developing integrated RCM processes and coordinated the RCM interface with the broader business.
Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate the team to maintain a positive, supportive, results-driven trading environment.
- Coach and performance manage your team against the objectives agreed in the PDR, supported by 121 meetings and a weekly team meeting to approve and review actions.
- Plan and manage your team's activities to support the delivery of the core revenue targets.
- Measure and prioritize activity in the team to align with key objectives.
- Simplify and standardize where possible to deliver improved efficiency.
- Document individual objectives and development needs in the PDR for each team member.
Effective Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Ensure effective, concise, timely, predefined communications are built into team processes to ensure key stakeholders are proactively aware of changes that may affect them.
- Development of visual MI to support effective stakeholder communications, especially a concise view of RM actions and critical changes. Focus on simple vital messages tailored to the audience.
- Lead the RM update in the weekly trading meeting.
- Deputise for RCM Director as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics, or a related field
- Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) with a focus on Revenue Management, Business Analytics, or Strategic Management preferred
- Previous experience in revenue management or related fields within the transportation or hospitality industry
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams to achieve revenue targets
- Experience in implementing and optimizing revenue management processes and systems
- Knowledge of forecasting techniques and their application in operational planning
- Familiarity with pricing strategies and capacity management practices
- Experience in developing and implementing revenue management technology solutions
- Strong background in stakeholder management and communication, especially in a dynamic business environment
- Able to travel occasionally, as requested
