We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Digital Channel Sales Manager to spearhead our online sales initiatives in the US market. The ideal candidate will oversee all our e-commerce operations, from setting and tracking commercial targets to leading international direct-to-brand commercial action plans. You will collaborate closely with local functions, group e-commerce teams, and various stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and maximize revenue opportunities. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices.
In this role, you will:
- Track and manage commercial targets for the US market, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with local functions and group e-commerce teams to develop sensible and aligned business targets.
- Monitor cross-functional performance against targets, identifying and addressing issues and opportunities.
- Develop and execute e-commerce plans to support US targets, including overseeing the merchandising calendar.
- Lead international direct-to-brand commercial action plans for the US market.
- Develop and implement local action plans to maximize revenue.
- Provide local market perspective and competitive intelligence to group e-commerce and digital marketing teams.
- Manage website shopping path and define web business requirements for the US website.
- Analyze and monitor website performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee online merchandising and promotions strategy to drive car rentals and ancillary product sales.
- Partner with IT to conduct user testing on the website shopping path.
- Serve as the US ambassador of the global e-commerce team and the dedicated entry point for local sales and marketing teams.
Education-
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Analytics, or related field; MBA preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of e-commerce experience (Retail or Travel Industry preferred)
- At ease with technology, online solutions, and digital channels
- Experienced working in an international environment and matrixed organization
- Experience working with IT to define business requirements
- Proven ability to use analytics and metrics to define priorities and develop action plans
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally to deliver action plan results
Strengths and Attributes:
- Strong ability to analyze data and derive insights and actions to improve performance.
- Previous experience with software platforms: DOMO, Excel, Google Sheets, a content management system (AEM preferred), Google Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and JIRA is highly preferred.
