What are the responsibilities and job description for the Canteen Manager position at Fox Valley Lutheran High School?

Pay Rate: $10/hour
This is a hired position. It will be posted in the Federation, and interviews will be held to secure the best candidate for the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Canteen Manager will:
- Keep an accurate inventory of all canteen items in the inside canteen, the football/track area canteen, and the baseball/softball canteen throughout the school year.
- Be responsible for off-season cleaning of the canteens.
- Work with the Activities Assistant to staff the canteen for events.
- Be a friendly face making volunteers feel needed and valuable.
- Develop and communicate clear guidelines for workers for what they are to do before, during, and after the event.
- Either be available to open and close the canteen at all events OR have a designated appointee (not the Activities Director) to cover.
- Maintain and update a log for major events, detailing how much product was used. This log can then be passed on to the next manager(s) to ensure a smooth transition between managers.
- Develop pricing for all items.
- Encourage people to work.
- Attend meetings in order to report to the Fans of Foxes.
- Maintain and clean the current equipment and purchase new equipment as needed and as approved by the Fans of Foxes.
- Enforce current standards of safety in the canteen.
HOURS & COMPENSATION
The Canteen Manager will be compensated $10 per hour worked.
The maximum number of hours paid per week will be 20 hours.
This person is not eligible for health insurance.
