The Opportunity
The I&C Contract Manager position is an experienced position in our Mansfield, MA office within the I&C North America Project Management team. The I&C Business Unit focuses on control system solutions for our nuclear customers in existing and new plant applications in North America as well as world-wide. The Project Management team executes projects from complicated large modernizations to small unique plant applications. This position will be responsible for using in-depth understanding of Contract and Commercial terminology to explain complex situations to the technical teams and leadership. The Contract Manager will be involved in proposal, negotiation, contract signature, turnover, and execution of large-scale projects.
What You'll Do at Framatome
The Contract Manager will report to the Manager of Projects, I&C North America, but will also have matrixed responsibilities to the corporate Contract Management team. This position will interface with both external customer and internal stakeholders.
In this position you can expect to:
- Focus on contract commercial risk mitigation and planning.
- Identify potential commercial risks with respect to performance, delivery, and acceptance.
- Support the project management team for contractual changes.
- Maintain supporting information for claims and changes through the duration of the project.
- Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to contract issues.
- Effectively communicate and present all contract-related matters/information to stakeholders.
- Maintain full knowledge of contract scope and all parties' responsibilities to identify potential commercial issues.
- Lead/coordinate all contract-related issues that may arise with all parties.
- Coordinate updates to contract(s) in accordance with contractual limitations.
- Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
- Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:
- Bachelors Degree plus a minimum of 6 years of related work experience or experience in lieu of degree. At least 2 years of project-related experience is required. Advanced degrees may substitute for years of related experience..

- Past Contract Management experience in the Nuclear industry.
- Experience managing different contract types in the range of $50-100M.
- Must have an in-depth understanding of Contract/Legal terminology.
- Must be versed in risk management, have the ability to mitigate risks, and effectively communicate / advise Project leadership.
- Shows initiative to identify what needs to be done & complete before being asked.
- Possesses critical thinking skills to analyze, draw conclusions & makes recommendations based on data.
- Must have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience working with all levels of management and high-level customers.
- Moderate skill level of MS office programs.
- Educated/Endorsed candidates in the field of Contract management.
Our total rewards package
The range of base salary for the position is between $100,000- $136,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
