WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Develop and manage one or multiple departmental budgets, including making budget allocations, approving expenditures and ensuring expenses are within budget.
Present business case to administration for FTE and resource/equipment/programming
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve concerns of patients, physicians, staff and administration and keeps the next level of management informed of significant developments.
Inspect area for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and takes preventative steps and corrective action when violations occur.
Make decisions for direct reports in one or multiple departments and performs people management activities such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews.
Perform emergency response duties consistent with training provided and in accordance with Hospital policy.
Develop and drive quality improvement initiatives to track overall performance and outcomes metrics.
Identify and implement changes in space and equipment responding to new technology and expansion of services.
Lead strategic planning for the area of responsibility to achieve clinical, financial, service and people excellence; reviews and analyzes service statistics and uses results to improve and expand services.
Work to enhance operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high-quality patient care.
Collaborate with internal and external partners for inter-professional coordination across the continuum of care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy - Required -AND-
Master's Degree in Physical Therapy -Required -OR -
Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy Required - OR-
Masters Degree in Speech Therapy - Required - AND -
Masters Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration - Preferred
Doctorate in Occupation or Physical Therapy - Preferred
3 years Supervisory management experience - Required
5 years Therapy - Preferred
For clinical degree valid licensure - Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association - Required
