Job Summary
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at FranklinCovey is a pivotal leadership role responsible in shaping and executing revenue generation strategies across all business units. Reporting directly to the President of Enterprise solutions, the CRO will work closely with executive leadership to optimize revenue streams, enhance customer relationships, and capitalize on emerging market opportunities to sustain and accelerate growth.

Essential Job Functions
- Revenue Strategy Development: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement comprehensive revenue generation strategies aligned with FranklinCovey's business objectives.
- Sales Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the sales teams across various business units, setting clear revenue targets and performance metrics to drive sales effectiveness and efficiency.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities, informing strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive revenue growth and enhance brand reputation.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement KPIs and performance metrics to track sales performance, pipeline development, and revenue growth, implementing data-driven strategies to optimize sales effectiveness.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of sales and marketing initiatives, driving integrated go-to-market strategies.
- Global Revenue Forecasting: Develop accurate revenue forecasts and projections for each region, leveraging market insights and sales data to inform budgeting and resource allocation decisions.
- Budget Management: Oversee budget planning, allocation, and management for global sales and marketing activities, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI and achieve revenue targets.
- Talent Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing global sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all revenue generation activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as FranklinCovey's ethical standards, across all regions.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively to support business development activities, client engagements, and team collaboration across different regions and time zones.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other Business related degree.
- 10 years of experience in progressive senior sales leadership roles.
- 10 years of experience in revenue generation and business development.

- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable revenue generation strategies.

- Extensive experience in the leadership and organizational development industry or related sectors, with a deep understanding of global market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Experience working in a publicly traded company or similar corporate environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable revenue generation strategies.
- Prior experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, or corporate development.
- Knowledge of best practices in sales enablement, customer segmentation, and go-to-market strategies.
- Experience working in a global or multi-national organization, with a strong understanding of international market dynamics and cultural nuances.
- Track record of successfully negotiating and closing complex sales deals and strategic partnerships.
- Prior experience working in a publicly traded company or similar corporate environment.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends shaping the sales and marketing landscape.
For location-specific compensation:
California - Anticipated compensation for this position includes a $310-320k base salary plus an approx. $150k STI and LTI. Actual offer may be outside of this range and will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
