A favorite fixture in Boulder since 1960, Frasier is an independent, non-profit (501(c)(3), mission driven, CARF accredited continuing care retirement community. We are growing and it isn’t just new (and greener) buildings! We are growing our programs and offerings both inside and outside our campus, implementing innovative methods to create community, and building on our culture of excellence.
The Frasier Wellness team works with our residents to provide them with a comprehensive wellness program that focuses on individualized whole-person wellness, which includes all 7 components of wellness. We have a state-of-the-art wellness center, functional fitness studio, therapy pool and a lap pool, as well as smaller Satellite Wellness centers located throughout our campus. We are expanding our team as we start to offer more services to our 450 residents.
YOU are full of energy, creative, and innovative. You are highly motivated, outgoing, creative and multi-faceted exercise specialist who loves to work with Seniors. You will teach aquatics classes in out 2 swimming pools, conduct exercise classes in our Assisted Living and Memory Care, you will also work with Wellness Department in developing employee wellness classes and programs. You embody a whole-person wellness philosophy and work well in a team setting.
Your schedule will be flexible: (here are some options)
- 9am - 2pm Monday - Thursday or,
- 10am - 2pm Monday - Friday
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Wellness focused training and exercise for Assisted Living
- Provides 1:1 personal training session with residents or in small training groups, teaches a variety of wellness classes including the pool
- Participates in weekly staff meetings and attends quarterly all- staff meetings as required.
- Stays abreast on the current research and literature related to older adult wellness information and programming.
- Assists the Director with monthly program planning and Wellness publications/newsletters/calendars.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Here’s what you need:
- Aquatics certifications or acquire certification with in 30 days of hire.
- ACSM certification in health and wellness is preferred, or any specialized exercise certification(s)
- Must possess a thorough understanding of the aging process and the 7 aspects of wellness from a whole-person perspective
- CPR - First Aid
- Must possess strong time management, written and organizational skills
- Must be flexible and able to handle occasional stress, maintaining composure.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- Minimum of 1-year experience with the 65 population
- Must possess strong computer skills
- Must successfully pass organization required health and background screening
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Range is $18 - $22
Part-time/ PRN employees, scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week, receive a benefits package which includes a 401K retirement plan and sick time. Employees scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are also eligible for medical benefits.
