Job Title: Mental Health Therapist
Department: Mental Health Services
Reports To: Clinic Director
Summary:
The Mental Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to clients of all ages who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. The therapist also conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and provides consultation to other staff members. The therapist works in a community mental health clinic setting and is responsible for providing services to clients from diverse backgrounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and diagnose mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for clients.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Provide consultation to other staff members.
- Maintain confidentiality of client records.
- Stay up-to-date on current mental health research and practices.
- Participate in continuing education and training.
- Attend staff meetings and other professional development activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Licensed as a mental health therapist in the state of practice.
- 2 years of experience providing mental health therapy.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of mental health disorders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to providing high-quality mental health services.
