It’s Your World at Freebirds World Burrito! Freebirds is hiring a guest obsessed Catering Specialist to join our growing team! We are looking for someone who has an outgoing personality, a servant’s heart, and loves queso! This position is located in our Restaurant Support Center in Austin, TX.
The Catering Specialist is responsible for booking, selling, planning and coordinating catering orders. This position reports to the Director of Catering and may include nights, weekends, and some holidays.
ONE METRIC: Lapsed guest outreach no greater than 15 minutes
Main Accountabilities
- Manage catering order calls, website leads, and email orders.
- Understand guests’ needs and goes above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
- Estimate the cost and amounts of ingredients in order to draft an invoice.
- Increase check average through upselling.
- Send quotes to guest and conducts timely follow ups in order to confirm orders.
- Calls on new and existing guests to gain and retain catering business.
- Collect payments on House Account orders.
- Responsible for meeting/exceeding sales goals provided by the Director of Catering.
- Support restaurant teams and guests with all catering matters. This includes support for in-house, 3rd party and online orders.
Requirements
- 2 years of outbound/in-bound sales experience and customer service experience
- Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Holds self to high standards of Integrity and Best In Class commitment to the guest experience
- Demonstrate high level of communication, organization and professionalism
- Impeccable email etiquette and grammar skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Flexibility and willingness to assist with tasks as needed
