JOB SPECIFICATION:

Technicians are responsible for the installation and maintenance of Video Surveillance, Access Control, Security Systems, Fire Alarms and other Low Voltage Systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience required in some but not all of the following areas:

• Network Cabling
• Fire Alarm
• Security
• Surveillance Systems
• Access Control
• Project layout
• Troubleshooting
• Ability to start relationships with customers and maintain relationships with existing customers
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Outlook is preferred
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to plan, coordinate and problem solve effectively
• Ability to work alone or as a team
• Impeccable attention to detail

Education/Experience:

• Low Voltage Field Experience Preferred
• High school diploma or GED certificate

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Work in all conditions which include: heat, cold, humidity, sunlight, and wind.
• Climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel framework, Lifts, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
• Possess full range of motion and flexibility.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• PLT License preferred or be willing to obtain one
• Entry level; 0 to 18 months experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record required.
• General level of mechanical and consumer devices knowledge
• Ability to interact and communicate with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work flexible work hours and overtime as required.

Pay Range with Relevant Experience: $18-$35/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
