Summary
Responsible for managing existing and new accounts and will provide increased profitability to the bottom line.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Will cultivate and manage existing and new accounts based on individual and team goals established by sales leadership to increase company profitability.
- Use Company’s custom written proposal/database system.
- Assist with written job proposals/budgets aimed at securing new business.
- Participate in company sales and rental meetings.
- Particpate in site surveys and/or visit clients if needed.
- Understand and be completely knowledgeable of our company, including the company's mission, vision and core values.
- Gain ongoing knowledge of the audio visual industry.
- Maintain a complete knowledge of our pricing model and proposal preparation.
- Practice advanced customer service, communication and interpersonal and sales skills.
- Responsible for staying current with industry technology standards and company product knowledge and expertise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Associates Degree, Bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferred from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of one year of prior experience as a sales or account executive, and/or related industry experience.
- Demonstrated capabilities to sell, service and manage events with extensive requirements on both a local and a national basis.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, proposals, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
