Import Coordinator

Salary $60k - $75k Plus Benefits

The position is for a leading International Freight Forwarder and worldwide provider of logistics and supply-chain management, they are looking for a full time experienced Import Coordinator.

Job Description: Processing Air or Ocean Import shipments and provide effective Customer Service to our internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate bookings from Importers and overseas offices to final destination

· Closely monitor & follow up on shipments

· Update shipment status, issue arrival notices, authority to make entry and obtain documents for customs entries.

· Follow up with the carrier on arrival, AMS, flight information and communicate to the customers & customs broker

· Provide customs broker with documentation

· Arrange freight release with steamship lines and confirm cargo availability

· Negotiate best rates for inland trucking

· Coordinate deliveries

· Process invoices accurately & timely.

· Perform any related tasks as required and assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

· 2 years experience in Air or Ocean Import freight forwarding

· Organizational skills

· Ability to multi task in a fast- paced environment

· Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

· General computer knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Import Operations: 2 years (Required)
