Industrial Health and Workers Comp Nurse (Massillon)

Fresh Mark is seeking a high energy Industrial Health and Workers Comp Nurse with the ability to work in a fast-paced and busy plant environment. As an Industrial Health and Workers Comp Nurse, you are a member of the Human Resources team, promoting the safety and health of all employees by prevention, recognition, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. You will also provide effective case management to improve quality of life for employees, improve productivity and reduce overall company benefit costs. This is a full-time position. Open to considering non-standard hours that meet the needs of the facility.

Responsibilities 

• Provide treatment of work-related injuries or illnesses.
• Assess employees with work restrictions or limitations and make appropriate job placement recommendations (i.e. fitness for duty).
• Evaluate the interactions between employees work and health in the workplace.
• Assure confidentiality of personal health information and comply with established codes of ethics and legal or regulatory requirements.
• Use and maintain employee health recordkeeping system.
• Maintain OSHA-required logs and documents.
• Manage workers’ compensation cases.
• Document the nursing process in care management via assessment, diagnoses and treatments consistent with appropriate standards and laws.
• Implement occupational and environmental health and safety education and training.
• Identify the need for case management intervention and be able to conduct a thorough and objective assessment of the employee’s status and case management needs.

Requirements

• ADN, BSN or RN  with a current nursing license to practice in Ohio. (No license lapses, suspensions or involuntary revocations in any state or country.)
• Relevant work experience through clinicals and/or prior employment.
• Ability to administer medical aid in emergency situations and remain calm in medical emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience managing safety and workers comp in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• English/Spanish bi-lingual a strong plus.
