What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Store Manager position at Friendship Food Stores?
The Assistant Managers are our leaders in customer service by ensuring prompt courteous customer service and satisfaction to each and every customer. They assist with the day-to-day operation of the store in the absence of the General Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to, supervise, train and develop Sales Associates, use of the cash register, cleaning, monitor compliance with company policies and procedures, assist the manager in merchandising, daily bookwork and fostering a positive store culture by treating employees fair and with respect. The desired candidate must be able to work flexible hours, have a high school education or equivalent, be people oriented, self-motivated, and customer focused. Previous management experience in retail or conveniences stores is desired, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and varying shifts.
