- POSITION PURPOSE
- An Office Specialist II is responsible for performing a variety of essential business functions at multiple Clinic locations including, but not limited to: Admitting; ICD-9/ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS coding; Medical Records facilitation; Check In/Out; Cashier; Communications; and Managed Care Referrals and Pre-certification.

- Associate Degree: Health or Related Business Field (Preferred)

- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 1 to 3 years

- LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Valid Driver’s License

- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- One (1) to three (3) years of business office experience in a healthcare environment in billing, insurance and/or collections and customer service.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding required for billing preparation.
- Familiarity with computer programs/software for internet, email, word documents, coding and billing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Receives and processes information to facilitate customer requests demonstrating Froedtert South values in all interactions;
- Performs business functions to support positive financial outcome(s) in the following areas.
- Admitting functions including: Demographic and insurance card updates;
- ICD-9/ICD-1-/CPT/HCPCS coding - Clinic, Nursing Home and Hospital Charges;
- Cashier - Daily Deposits;
- Check In/Out - Co-pay and Outstanding balance collection;
- Communications - Telephone etiquette;
- Managed Care Referrals and Pre-Certification #cb
