Position Title: HR Generalist

Location: Owatonna, MN 55060

Job Description:

As an HR Generalist at From The Ground Up, you will play a key role in supporting our workforce and fostering a positive company culture. You will be responsible for various HR functions to ensure smooth operations and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
   
   • Source candidates through various channels, including job postings, networking, and referrals.
   • Conduct interviews and coordinate the hiring process.
   • Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs.
2. Employee Relations:
   • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
   • Address employee relations issues promptly and effectively.
   • Promote a positive work environment through communication and conflict resolution.
3. Performance Management:
   • Implement and oversee performance appraisal processes.
   • Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
   • Recognize and reward employee achievements and contributions.
4. Training and Development:
   • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills.
   • Coordinate employee development initiatives, including workshops and seminars.
   • Support career development and succession planning efforts.
5. Compliance and Policy Administration:
   • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
   • Maintain employee records and HR databases.
   • Update and communicate company policies and procedures.
6. Benefits Administration:
   • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
   • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, inquiries, and claims processing.
7. HR Reporting and Analytics:
   • Compile HR metrics and generate reports for management review.
   • Analyze data trends to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in the service industry
• Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
