Job Summary
Responsible for the marketing initiatives within the Frontera Healthcare service area. Creates, manages, and implements marketing and advertising campaigns with the goal of bringing in new or former patients so that they may benefit from Frontera’s services. Maintains strong relationships with local media representatives and collaborative partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Attends and interacts within FHN community Chamber of Commerce meetings, banquets and other community partner meetings and events
• Serves as Frontera’s main contact in all service areas for Marketing and Advertising events
• Prepares event boxes with appropriate supplies for upcoming events; will keep a log of marketing inventory
• Responsible for editing and maintaining FHN's brand
• Plan and direct marketing programs designed to increase patient traffic especially for patients that are low socioeconomic or on Medicaid/Medicare
• Create FHN publications and other forms of communication
• Plan, create and deliver marketing and promotional materials as needed, both print and electronic
• Work with print, radio, online or other advertisers for timely and useable ad submissions
• Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications
• Maintain all of Frontera’s social media platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Channel, LinkedIn and Twitter
• Create print and digital newsletter with important updates from FHN
• Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns
• Update FHN's website and collaborate with website design company
• Operate within FHN's marketing budget
• Research media coverage and industry trends to ensure FHN is following best practices
• Collaborate and effectively communicate with FHN staff, community members, community stakeholders and other external partners
• Abides by FHN's mission, vision and values at all times
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required
• Knowledge of key strategies of efficient marketing and advertising including public relations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community agency personnel, media representatives and the general public
• Knowledge of social, cultural, medical and economic factors of the community served
• Ability to support, motivate and sustain a team-oriented culture
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presenting and speaking in public settings
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills including working with people in one-on-one settings and group settings
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, multi-task, and prioritize work effectively
• Computer skills with proficiencies in Word, Excel, Publisher, Canva, internet-based applications, social media and the Microsoft operating system.
• Ability to have a flexible schedule to allow attendance of after hours events outside normal operating hours
Preferred
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) and able to provide services in Spanish, both verbal and written.
Credentials and Experience
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or a related degree
Preferred
• Three years of experience preferred in a business operations setting or in a related field of business, healthcare, human services, etc.
• 1 year of experience working with programs and services intended for low-income, underserved populations.
Special Requirements
Must be willing to travel.
Work Hours
40 hour work week, but must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends This position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. It requires eye-hand coordination, and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment. It also requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. In addition, this position requires travel between sites and the ability to interact with others in both small and large group settings. At times, this position may include periods of extended physical activity, such as walking/standing at community events and/or moving and distributing educational materials.
