What Will You Be Doing?

The Manager of Innovation is responsible for implementing a variety of creative practices and processes to increase Frontier’s efficiency and productivity and enhance the customer experience in airports.

Essential Functions

  • Design and present a clear vision and innovation strategy for the organization through collaboration with various departments
  • Identify cutting edge technology and methods with sound business value to continuously improve operational performance and the customer experience.
  • Think across diverse platforms to form multiple strategies
  • Automate tasks and procedures wherever possible to achieve optimum staffing and process efficiency
  • Determine and promote creative solutions and opportunities for cost-effective company growth
  • Enable self-service for customers to improve the overall end-to-end experience through technology and other innovative methods
  • Research new product innovations and develop business cases with positive ROI
  • Continuously adjust airport design, technology, and staffing to be lean and efficient
  • Ensure the integrity of revenue generation through improvements to process and technology
  • Liaise closely with airport authorities, regulatory bodies, business partners, and technology providers to optimize operational efficiencies and the customer experience
  • Successfully introduce new ideas, change certain dimensions of a particular business, and create a substantial amount of new value for the organization and our customers.

Other Functions

  • Work closely with ACS leadership to understand, define and develop appropriate plans or processes for department initiatives
  • Act as a leader/project manager over assigned projects, to include all levels of the organization
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with ACS and Business Partner personnel to better understand and address technology needs and enhancements.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT, Project Management or Busines discipline, or 5 years of experience in a relevant field required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Management experience with emphasis on technology and innovation preferred
  • Relevant airline, airport or aviation experience required.

Equipment Operated

Competency and comprehensive knowledge of standard office equipment and various industry airport equipment (ticketing and baggage).

Work Environment

Typical office environment adequately heated and cooled.

Some travel required.

Physical Effort

Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.

Supervision Received

General Direction: The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.
