Job Description:
The Lead, IT Development position will be responsible for providing technical direction and leadership to a team of 8-12 developers. The lead will utilize mentorship skills and technical acumen to enhance all aspects of solution development and delivery at Frontier. The lead will be expected to be capable of working across multiple technologies within the UI and API development space to develop/enhance existing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership in the development and implementation of our serviceability/addressing roadmap
- Providing leadership in progressing projects through the software lifecycle
- Mentoring more junior-level individual contributors in API best practice implementation and design
- Support delivery of code in automated build pipelines
- Create application-level design documentation and enforce adherence to design through developing a life cycle
- Assisting the development team with complex problems
- Performing code reviews
- Participating in requirements gathering, application design, planning, and review.
- Participating in the front-end and back-end development process utilizing a variety of technologies including Angular, Node.js, .net, SiteCore, Apigee, Web API, Mongo, Microsoft SQL, and more
- Interfacing with the project management organization, groups within Frontier, and external partners
- Other duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE - Required
Bachelor's degree in computer or information technology and five (5) years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in software development with a web development focus.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE - Preferred
Bachelor's degree in computer or information technology and five (5) years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience as a software developer along with three (3) years experience as a team or lead role
ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE
- Deep understanding of modern web development practices and technologies including, but not limited to:
- Angular and other client-side web frameworks
- js
- JavaScript, TypeScript
- Deep understanding of database development and consumption utilizing document and relational databases.
- Deep understanding of agile software development
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Extensive experience using a language like Java or C#.
- Experience managing to build pipelines and a CI/CD process (Team Foundation Server is preferred).
- Experience writing unit tests
- Experience writing documentation
- Experience estimating projects.
- Experience with deployment to Microsoft servers and server farms.
- Experience in application design and best practice standards
- Experience in developing cloud-based applications in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
DESIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE
- Telco background
- Previous work with Telerik control sets
- Previous work as a project manager

Salary : $115,000 - $145,000
