POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engineering Tech Expeditor supports Development and Process Engineering groups, both Fab and Assembly. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Responsible for fulfilling predetermined departmental quality, safety, quantity and teamwork requirements. Technician may participate in safety forums, Emergency Response Teams and station improvement teams.
- SKILL: As a highly skilled specialist, contributes to the development of concepts and techniques. Completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways.
- JOB COMPLEXITY: Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures.
- SUPERVISION: Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader.
- EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor and track all Engineering lots.
- Understanding of Fab and Assembly Process flows, Equipment, Scheduling systems.
- Communicate daily needs to Production and Engineering.
- Ability to communicate status of Engineering lots across all departments at all levels.
- Escalate issues related to delays of Engineering lots as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. - Minimum 5 years' experience in Fab and/or Assembly environment.
- Proficient computer skills including MES and the use of MS Office, etc.
- Attention to detail.
- Prblem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be highly organized.

- Associate’s degree or higher.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Standing or walking over two-thirds of the time.
- Perform manual processing of wafers using chemicals to clean and etch wafers requiring frequent use of arm and wrist movements.
- May be required to use microscopes for long periods of time.

- Works in wafer fabrication and clean room environment, requiring clean room gowning (smock, hood, gloves, booties, etc.)
- Exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to stored energy hazards (electricity, compressed gases, etc.)
- May be required to use microscopes for extended periods of time.
- Exposure to chemicals needed for processing wafers- such as alcohol, acetone, acids, solvents and photo resist.
- Works in a facility that houses hazardous chemicals.
