Job Purpose
Key role in providing both strategic and tactical support for total rewards management and administration. This includes providing insight on compensation and benefits trends and providing expertise relative to the development of business specific programs that have significant implications. Lead the design, implementation, communication and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with the business strategy, goals and objectives of FNC. The role reports to the Head of Reward, Americas and requires an individual who is analytical, keenly focused on maintaining efficient processes, able to work in a complex environment and an experienced project manager who can work across functions to execute key compensation and benefits change initiatives and programs.
Key Accountabilities
- Evaluate and recommend changes to increase the effectiveness and competitive positioning of compensation and benefit practices, including base salary, annual bonus/incentive programs and annual benefits programs
- Coordinate and contribute to incentive and benefits re-design processes
- Manage the year-end pay review increase and incentive payment cycle. Partner with HR, communications and systems colleagues to deliver processes to the HR community and the business
- Organize and oversee market total rewards analysis including participation in salary surveys, job evaluation, and analysis presentation
- Help develop and reinforce total rewards philosophy across organization
- Provide compensation and benefits analysis on market insights and trends to drive more informed HR/business decisions
- Prepare analyses and presentations for leadership
- Maintain global compensation job structures, providing HR Business Partners and line management with tools to support compensation decisions
- Oversee documentation of job descriptions and creation of roles/titles
- Provide expert knowledge to assist in the selection of third parties to provide best-of-breed HR solutions and services
- Support recognition and wellbeing programs
- Assist in developing new or modified HR work methods, approaches, or procedures for delivering effective HR solutions to clients
Desired Experience & Knowledge
- BA/BS degree in HR, Business Administration or related field required; MA/MS/MBA degree in Business Administration, HR or related field preferred
- 4 years of progressive Total Rewards, Compensation and Benefits experience and/or HR Total Rewards Consulting experience
- Demonstrated experience consulting with senior leaders, HR partners and vendors required. Strong consultative skills and the ability to build solid relationships with the management team, HR team, cross-functional internal partners and external providers/vendors
- Experience in compensation and benefits integration resulting from M&A
- Experience in managing compensation and benefits programs
- Ability to design, implement and execute effective compensation and benefits processes
- Advanced with technology (e.g. HR systems, compensation tools, vendor sites and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel skills) preferred
- Led as well as participated in projects requiring analytical review and critical thinking. Excellent project management and analytical skills
- Experience conducting compensation and benefits research and participating in surveys along with compensation job evaluations and role frameworks
- Ability to work independently and be proactive in a high performance environment, possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Experience in designing and managing recognition programs preferred
