TITLE: ABA Program Manager

DEPARTMENT: Behavior

REPORTS TO: ABA Clinical Supervisor and Executive Director

JOB SUMMARY

(Basic functions and scope of the position)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and operational-focused individual to join our team as an ABA Program Manager.

The ABA Program Manager I will work under the supervision of a board certified behavior analyst to complete client assessments, treatment plans, and programming. The ABA Program Manager will facilitate communication between all team members, manage client data, and ensure all team members have the necessary support, training, and materials to assist the client in reaching their full potential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Essential functions of the position)

· Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements

  • Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
  • Provide initial and ongoing staff education and training on client behavioral and skill acquisition protocols
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to staff regarding clinical and professional skills on a regular basis
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between all members of the client’s team
  • Facilitate day-to-day operations of the team by ensuring that all necessary paperwork, materials, scheduling, and documentation are up to date
  • Update and maintain data collection systems and disseminate information to team
  • Conduct parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols
  • Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Utilize safe and appropriate handing and guidance procedures when working with working with clients
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings and seeking out consultation as needed
  • Complete session notes within 24 hours of each session
  • Engage in behavior compliant with the BACB Ethics Code
  • Assist with completion of client assessments, treatment plans, and programming under the supervision of a behavior analyst
  • Assist with graphing and analyzing client specific data
  • Complete and document overlaps to ensure fidelity of treatment
  • Member of the Behavior Leadership Team

  • Some contact with team members. General purpose of contact is to provide or obtain explanation or interpretation of information.
  • Requires normal, courteous interaction and basic interpersonal skills and tact to communicate with others. Non-routine inquiries and/or complaints are referred to others.

PROBLEM SOLVING

  • Problems generally involve the selection of choices from standard procedures, organizing work and checking results. Answers are usually found from selection of documented choices determined by policies and/or procedures.

DECISION MAKING AND DECISION IMPACT

  • Some independent judgment is necessary to select and implement the most appropriate solution, with frequent discussion/contact with a supervisor. May occasionally make recommendations to work procedures, policies and practices.

SUPERVISION REQUIRED

  • Performs tasks under general supervision, which is present to establish general objectives relative to a specific project or procedure. Supervision is provided “as-needed”.

  • No Supervisory Duties

  • Tasks are various and focus more on single processes. Work is sometimes standardized and sometimes varied.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work may occur in the office, from a remote office location, and from a client site. Occasional travel may be required. Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds may be necessary. Standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and driving are common motion requirements. The ability to make quick decisions, manage multiple priorities, be flexible, deescalate conflict, and operate in a fast-paced environment may be required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, applied behavior analysis, or related field
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential
  • Enrolled in BCBA certification coursework
  • Completion of required Program Manager I proficiencies
