The Role:
As a Job Coach, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to succeed in the workplace. You will work closely with our clients to provide personalized support, guidance, and encouragement as they navigate the job market and develop essential skills for employment. Your role will involve:
- Conducting assessments to identify strengths, interests, and employment goals.
- Collaborating with clients to create individualized employment plans.
- Providing on-the-job training and support to help clients learn job tasks and responsibilities.
- Building positive relationships with employers to facilitate successful job placements.
- Advocating for accommodations and modifications to support clients in the workplace.
- Monitoring progress and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Celebrating achievements and milestones with clients and their support networks.
Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A genuine passion for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Previous experience in job coaching, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
