**Position Overview:**
We're looking for a dedicated Maintenance Lead to join our team in Salinas, California. This full-time, non-exempt hourly role is crucial for ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Lead will play a key role in setting up, adjusting, and maintaining our production equipment to uphold our standards of productivity and quality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and operational issues, ensuring maximum production and quality.
- Conduct equipment changeovers and perform scheduled maintenance during non-production periods.
- Test equipment to ensure proper operation, clearing jams and setting aside defective products for inspection.
- Perform quality checks, utilizing gauges and instruments to meet specifications.
- Engage in preventive maintenance, reporting findings and taking appropriate actions.
- Direct and instruct line operators, packers, and service personnel on daily operations.
- Manage maintenance documentation and communicate needs to the maintenance department.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven work record and completion of a three-year formal training program.
- Proficiency with hand and trade tools.
- High mental and visual focus, with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including in refrigerated environments.
