About You
We are seeking a well-established Sales Manager to join our team! The right candidate will exhibit exceptional leadership skills, a proven track record of successfully leading a dynamic team, a leader who has maintained a high level of customer satisfaction and will uphold the dealership’s reputation for excellence. This individual will integrate into our current management staff and together play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation and growth of the sales department.
Primary Accountabilities
The day-to-day duties of this role include:
- Hire, motivate, guide, and monitor the performance of all sales associates
- Ensures personnel are utilizing and maintaining sales control and follow-up system, which encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
- Ensures that sales associates understand dealership policies, procedures, and sales systems
- Conducts major sales promotions and advertising as needed (i.e., used car classifieds, large new display ads, radio, etc.)
- Creates systems that ensure ongoing sales training
- Attends product and sales training courses as requested by management or factory
- Attends sales meetings, sales training, and product training as requested
- Attends special Fury sponsored events (State Fair, Auto Show, etc.) according to dealership schedule
- Presents a professional and positive image of the retail facility in dress and attitude
- Reviews and initials deals
- Addresses customer complaints to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
- Studies local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history. Makes recommendations to the general sales manager regarding short- and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, and lease promotions
- Audits appraisals of trade-in vehicles
- Assists with maintaining the clean and professional appearance of the store
- Offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the car dealership showroom or sales lot
- Ability to cite Fury’s products’ advantages
- Evaluates trades according to Fury guidelines
- Books trades promptly and accurately
- Writes complete, legible sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established policies
- Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships to help enhance the sales process
- Encourage repeat and referral business
Sales Manager Qualifications
- Energetic, positive self-starter with excellent customer service skills and a can-do mentality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales, use, and demonstration
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience with supervisory responsibility
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a professional manner
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
