ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Community Development department in Providence, RI that possesses the ability to oversee multi-faceted site development projects including land development; brownfields redevelopment; municipal infrastructure and community projects; campus infrastructure; public green infrastructure siting and design; stormwater management planning and design; climate resiliency; and more.
This professional will support all aspects of site/civil engineering projects including performing project scoping, contract development, project and staff management including overseeing site design (e.g., layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment controls, etc.), assisting in the preparation of site plans and details; conducting field meetings; interfacing with clients to support business development activities, and assisting in report and permit writing activities.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience with strong site design skills
- Previous project management (contracts, business development, design, QA/QC) experience required
- Rhode Island PE license is required (or ability to acquire within 1 year)
- Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D and HydroCAD knowledge; GIS is a plus!
- Experience with local & state permitting requirements (planning, zoning, highway access, etc.)
- Previous experience with hydrology and hydraulic modeling, wetland and NPDES permitting, and water and sewer utility design
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
This position will reside in our Providence, RI office. This position has the opportunity to be a hybrid/remote position with the ability to work remotely 2-3 days per week. Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
