What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer/Planner position at Future Pak?
The buyer / planner role supports the overall supply chain function of Woodward companies. Due to being a small company the candidate is expected to perform many different tasks (planning, logistics, inventory, purchasing, etc.) within the supply chain department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for supply planning and procurement of materials to support any of the Woodward company products assigned.
· Responsible for the planning of all products, (API, bulk and finished product) and coordinating the purchasing activities to maintain inventory at required safety stock levels.
· Responsible for the logistics, transportation, importation, and customs clearances of products and materials ordered.
· Maintain appropriate levels of inventory stock as directed by leadership.
· Manage all procurement and logistics activities related to product lifecycle.
· Responsible for the planning and purchasing of materials needed to package Woodward products at Future Pak. Work closely with Future Pak to ensure that appropriate priorities are set to meet required ship dates.
· Interface with Commercial and Quality Assurance to review order status/delivery to prioritize the disposition of product once received at 3PL (3rdparty logistics).
· Maintain master data information in the ERP system relevant to all inventory items.
· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contract organizations, and logistics partners.
· Ensure that appropriate procedures are established to support supply chain processes.
· Gather, analyze, and report data reflecting status of products and supply chain overall. Analyze data from areas such as CMOs, CPOs, 3PL, COGs, and PO cash flow.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge in ERP systems
· Self-starter with minimum supervision needed.
· Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain (Purchasing, Planning, Logistics)
· Proven ability to deliver results in an unstructured, fast paced environment
· Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookup, charts/graphs)
· Ability to analyze data
· Must be fluent in English
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Materials Management, Science, or field related to the products being developed required, and/or three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in pharmaceutical industry
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
Work required 4 days a week in the office
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Occasional travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
