What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mentor position at Future Project?
Future Project has been established since 1999, serving the community with mentoring and counseling services throughout New Jersey. Future Project is currently seeking Mentors; Future Project provides a variety of therapeutic services to children and adults. Our dynamic team values collaboration and utilize the team to create a supportive and positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide One on One skill building intervention with children/adolescents.
- Document all activities according to Future Project reporting system.
- Provide mentoring to children/adolescents in accordance with their needs provided to you by the “Facesheet”.
- Implement and incorporate community-based activities and programs for clients.
- Accurately complete time logs and written progress reports.
- Create a safe, comfortable and professional work environment at all times.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Meet with supervisor weekly to discuss current and up-coming client visits.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills-written and verbal.
- Driver’s License and registered vehicle. (reliable transportation)
- Willing to travel.
- Dependable, creative and enjoys helping others.
- Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem solving skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred not required.
