Job Summary:
The Destruction Lead requires knowledge of processes and equipment throughout the work area assigned. The Destruction lead is organized and able to lead another co-worker in the destruction department. The Destruction Lead can perform tasks such as card accountability, destruction of materials, and ticket verification of scrapped cards. The Destruction Lead will also maintain the PCI standard necessary for security purposes

Job Duties:
Oversees destruction shift operation
Call for recycling and scrap trucks to pick up on a regular basis
Prepares cards for loading into the shredding machineLoad cards into and start the shredding machine
Run the shredding machine
Maintain strong rapport among all other departments within the organization
Move shredded materials from the output area of the shredding machine
Work in place of the Destruction Lead in a limited capacity while the Lead is away
Make ticket transactions for all received materials and completes all paperwork
Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

Accountabilities:
Reports to the shift Supervisor and receives direction from the Supervisor
Assists Destruction Operator in the secure transportation of scrapped materials from each department to destruction
Responsible for secure transactions using the computer software for destruction
Follows established safety and environmental compliance
Accountable for meeting the daily requirements
Responsible for general daily maintenance of the work area
Cleaning of work area at the beginning and end of shift
Safety and Environmental Compliance
Assist Destruction Lead in shutting down the room and machinery at the end of shift

Job Specifications:
Exposure to shop noise
Required to lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to operate mechanical machinery
Physically able to bend, lift, and stand over long periods of time
Flexibility on schedule (must be able to work overtime and on weekends on an as needed basis)
Adheres to MasterCard and Visa association security standards

Qualifications:
Minimum of one year in a manufacturing environment with lead experience
Strong communication skills
Must be able to operate pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and forklift
Good attendance habits
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform multiple tasks
Ability to comprehend written work instructions
Ability to train new operators
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work within a team environment
Basic computer skills must know how to use Microsoft Access
Safety conscious with a good understanding of general safety requirements
Must know how to safely use department tools i.e., drill, saw, etc…
