Janitorial Worker

G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Abbottstown, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels. We are hiring for Janitors. This position includes a $750 sign on bonus. Be a part of our continued Growth & Success at G&S Foods!

Our Janitor is a reliable team member responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our employees and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
• Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
• Knowledge of custodial practices and techniques
• Familiarity with floor care equipment and procedures
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Team players
• Communication

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use of hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds
• Infrequently lift and / or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds
• Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Shift Times:

• 3rd shift, $19.00/hour: Monday to Friday, 9:00pm-5:00am
