Requirements:
Essential Duties:
- Performs specific/limited portions of assignments using prescribed methods.
- Works under the direction of others to support planning efforts.
- Various office support duties including filing, editing, and database maintenance.
- Technical writing, analysis and interpretation for environmental assessments, EIS and related reports in compliance with HRS Chapter 343 and NEPA requirements.
- Preparation of land use permit application materials, assist filing with government agencies.
- Preparation of land use master plan materials (including collection of research materials and report data, evaluation of research materials for applicability, preparation of graphic concepts, and coordination of report completion, production, and distribution).
- Preparation of community outreach materials, as needed.

Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree; enrolled in the Masters of Urban and Regional Planning program or similar is preferred.
- Experience working in communities or with groups on the island of Oahu, preferred.
- This position is an in-office position, the candidate must be able to work in the office on scheduled days. The role is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.
- Must have knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Evidence of critical thinking skills and writing skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of planning principles and practices is desirable.
