Starting rate of pay: $14.00
GA Foods is hiring Route Delivery Driver to make meal deliveries for our company. The ideal Route Delivery Driver candidate will have an extensive background in delivery driving and proven safe driving practices. The Route Delivery Driver will ensure the timely, safe and accurate delivery of meals to customer homes and senior centers, according to route(s) assigned. Will be expected to maintain food safety and handling procedures with compliance to temperature requirements. Embrace the company's values, vision and mission as One Team.
Essential Route Delivery Driver Duties
Including but not limited to:
- As a condition of employment, you must be able to submit a fully vaccinated COVID vaccination record, provide approved exclusion documentation, or comply with appropriate state regulations within your first 90 days of employment.
- Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes in a timely and accurate manner
- Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness
- Report any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptly
- Maintain driver scorecard
- Check vehicle fluid levels and perform general routine inspection of vehicle to ensure all is in working order
- Assist with packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies as required
- Maintain communications with Customer Service
- Recordkeeping as required
- Participate in all required company training
- Other duties as assigned by management
Degree, Certifications
- H.S. Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License
- No DUI in last 5 yrs., 0-4 Current Pts
- Current ServSafe Food Handler
Preferred Route Delivery Driver* Skills & Experience*
- Prior three (3) years route delivery experience preferred
- Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
- Familiar with GPS and Tablet Technologies
- General Office Equipment
- Able to meet employer's attendance standard
- Able to follow work rules and policies and procedures
- Current ServSafe Food Safety Certification
