Gain Mining is a hosted Bitcoin Mining platform, focused on providing a turnkey Bitcoin mining solution to family offices, institutional clients, corporations, and high net worth individuals. Gain simplifies the challenges of mining Bitcoin and provides a cost efficient and tax advantaged way for clients to gain true exposure to Bitcoin, the oldest and most durable crypto asset in the world.

Gain Mining was incubated by 25madison, a leading venture capital firm and studio, in early 2022, with a mission to promote both institutional and individual adoption of Bitcoin and to expand the decentralization of Bitcoin’s network.

Job Description:

Gain Mining is looking for a VP of Sales to both build out its sales effort and to be an early leader in a rapidly growing business. You will be employee number two at a well-funded venture backed startup. This is a founder level role where the opportunities, experiences, and learnings will be immense. You will have a significant amount of autonomy and authority to build out a high performing sales organization in addition to the broader business. Outside of sales, you’ll have the opportunity to expand into marketing, customer success, and anything else you want to get your hands on.

The ideal candidate is high-performing, goal-oriented, and has demonstrable success in all their prior roles. (S)he will have a strong combination of sales and relationship-building skills and an established network of contacts within family offices, investment banks, asset managers, insurance companies, endowments, pension plans, fund-of-funds, foundations, consultants, and other investment decision-makers. (S)he is a hands-on, self-starter and team player who thrives in a highly entrepreneurial culture.

  • You’re an expert networker and have held roles that have exposed you to family offices, high net worth individuals, investment banks, asset managers, insurance companies, endowments, pension plans, fund-of-funds, foundations, consultants, and other financial institutions.
  • You have experience in sales with a proven track record of exceeding business development / sales targets.
  • You're independent, gritty, and comfortable working at a hyper growth company.
  • You are a strong communicator and networker.
  • You're kind, curious, and interested in other people's perspectives.

Duties & Responsibilities (What you’ll be doing):

You’ll be doing whatever it takes to sell Bitcoin mining products and services to family offices, institutions, corporate clients, and high net worth individuals. That will likely involve:

  • Leading outreach and sales efforts to family offices, institutions, and corporate clients to support our ambitious expansion plans.
  • Establishing relationships with partners such as RIAs, wealth manager, and family office consultants.
  • Developing sales collateral and materials.
  • Manage partnerships to ensure an effective working relationship that allows for continued operations and expansion of services


Job Requirements (What we look for in you):

  • Passion for and knowledge of Bitcoin and/or other crypto assets
  • Deep and broad understanding of the investors, underlying managers, and industry landscape, as well as complex financial products and instruments
  • Experience working with family offices and or high net worth individuals and understanding how those organizations function and what those groups prioritize while making investments
  • Experience in sourcing and structuring complex partnerships
  • Driven and results-oriented, but humble and self-aware
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
  • 6 years of work experience
