Merchandising Associate/Coordinator
As Merchandising Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of product lifecycle strategies and management of our product line across multiple brands and channels of distribution. This role will report into the Director of Merchandising and will frequently communicate with VP of Operations. The Merchandising Assistant will also be expected to manage the demands of cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment, alongside their day-to-day priorities.
Responsibilities
· Ownership of preparing reports and recaps for weekly, seasonally, and on an as-needed basis, reporting on performance to support the achievement of the financial goals.
· Conduct regular market research, analyzing trends, competitive assortments, and promotional events. Demonstrating a keen understanding of the competitive landscape. Sharing key insights with Director of Merchandising and VP of Operations to help inform product line strategies.
· Maintain all documents and systems related to product details – ensuring accurate information at all times. Communicating changes clearly to cross-functional partners in a timely manner.
· Attending all relevant product development milestone meetings, cleanly recapping all notes and actioning on follow-ups.
· Manage sample order process. This includes submitting sample orders to multiple channels of distribution, confirming the quality and accuracy of TOPs or other sample phases, working cross-functionally with creative marketing teams, external partners, as well as, to the needs of their sample requests are met in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor shipping ETAs and providing frequent updates on any shifts/delays.
· Regularly monitoring all ecommerce listings, ensuring that the product is active and accurately represented on site.
· Frequently analyze and recap customer feedback & reviews to inform larger product line strategies.
Qualifications
· Previous Merchandising Assistant and/or Assistant Buyer experience required; Minimum of 2/3 years.
· Strong Excel skills & demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new systems
· Be a positive, flexible, team player, work independently as needed, and have strong self-initiative, resourcefulness, prioritization and time management skills
· Highly detail oriented for both day-to-day tasks and studying samples.
· Strong understanding and prior applicable use of retail math and sales analysis
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
