Our technology provides real-time data and 24/7 visibility of livestock, increasing productivity and profitability, and offering a cost-effective solution for environmental compliance and sustainable practices. eShepherd™ is a solar powered, GPS enabled, livestock neckband that enables you to simply draw your virtual fence anywhere on your property and your cattle learn to move with and remain within the virtual barrier.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing manager to join our team in Kansas City and continue our successful commercialization of the eShepherd virtual fencing products to our markets.
In this role you will be the marketing manager responsible for everything marketing for the product, developing strategy in collaboration with leaders in the eShepherd team that captures our virtual fencing solution in a way that entices our potential customers and informs them of the unique benefits of eShepherd.
In this role, you’ll spearhead the introduction of our award-winning virtual fencing technology to North American, Australian, New Zealand markets and beyond. Your primary focus will be on developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies and overseeing their execution to drive sales growth. This will involve identifying key market opportunities across various sectors, including government, academic institutions, and corporate ranching, with a keen eye on segments and applications that offer the greatest value.
- Elevate the eShepherd marketing strategy to enable successful brand identity, messaging, and value proposition to differentiate the product in a newly competitive market.
- Analyze data to understand customer behaviors, preferences, and pain points, informing product positioning and marketing strategies.
- Plan, execute, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital (social media, email, PPC), traditional (print, events), and partnerships.
- Create compelling content such as blog posts, whitepapers, videos, and case studies to engage the target audience and establish eShepherd as a thought leader in virtual fencing.
The Fit
With an ability to lead the team in marketing strategy and execution, you will be able to understand the product and support in depth customer interaction about how our virtual fencing offering is applied. This role will require some of the following:
- A relevant qualification in marketing, business or a related field.
- A practical understanding of the lifestock production business, practices, and associated technologies.
- Technically dynamic in initiating strategic marketing but also supporting execution of marketing activity in market.
- Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and well-developed communication skills to build effective working relationships with our customers and across the eShepherd team.
- Experience in a client-side Marketing Manager or agency-side Account Manager role in global company (or similar) advantageous
- Experience in start-up generalist marketing role advantageous.
- An innate ability to manage many tasks simultaneously and have a good eye for detail.
