Position Summary:

Working with minimal supervision, leads a team of 6 to 8 Policy Checking Associates to review commercial insurance policies, obtain motor vehicles reports, and other activities related to branch operational support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises, trains and develops all Policy Checking staff.
  • Actively participates in the recruiting process for team members.
  • Perform quality assurance checks of work produced by the team.
  • Manages job performance of assigned staff and utilizes approved corporate policies to deal with behavior and/or performance issues.
  • Prepares performance evaluations
  • Processes data and generates reports as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Associates degree and 5 or more years related experience required
  • Excellent knowledge of the commercial insurance brokerage business

Preferred:

  • 5 years of experience working with Policy Coverage issues or Commercial Lines with an Agency or Carrier.
  • 2-3 years of experience directly supervising a team
  • Advanced computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Excel
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients of all backgrounds
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to direct and supervise a staff of up to 8 Associates
  • Good organization skills
  • Flexibility and open to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Gallagher will require proof of work authorization
  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure
