Summary of Position:
The Processing Manager is responsible for handling all post-harvest processing including movement and tracking of flower from cultivation to distribution. The Processing Manager shall be responsible for leading processing teams, maintenance of all processing equipment, staffing, and the ongoing operation of all post-harvest processing. The Processing Manager’s duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing the transporting and tracking of all harvested cannabis from cultivation rooms to the trim room
Supervision of trim and production capabilities
Delegation of tasks to Trimmers, Buckers, and QC staff
Monitoring the status of the dry room and all product in the process of drying in collaboration with Harvest management
Recording dry weight for all products including flowers and trim
Overseeing bulk packaging and transfer to testing vault
Preparation of product for retail and wholesale markets
In collaboration with Inventory Manager, develop procedures for inventory management, including electronic tracking and the allocation of physical space, shelves, and containers within the premises including inventory protocols.
In collaboration with Inventory Manager, develop product scheduling to support sales and product development objectives.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age.
Minimum 2 years proven excellence in the industry or another relevant position.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Flexibility and the ability to prioritize new tasks as they come in.
Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
Outstanding abilities to communicate in person, in writing and over the phone.
Ability to maintain a respectful environment in the workplace and confidentiality of sensitive information.
Knowledge of Googe and other office management tools and applications
Experience working in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets preferred.
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills.
Experienced relationship with internal team and external partners
Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements.
Comfortable learning new technologies, for example ERP system.
Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting and ability to provide well thought out recommendations.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Calm under pressure
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Proactive problem solver with a high attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
Must be able to navigate through corporate office environments with or without the use of mobility aids.
Must have the manual dexterity to complete job functions with or without accommodation.
Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
