What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometry Technician II position at Gardner Health Services?

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill an Optometry Technician II position. This is a full-time position based out of the CompreCare Health Center located in San Jose

The Optometry Technician II reports to the Optometry Director: assists the Optometrists and performs a variety of tasks related to the ordering and dispensing of ophthalmic prescriptions. Also assures appropriate reimbursement for services and lenses, including collection of fees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Optometry Technician II

  • Two (2) or more year’s institutional training with degree certified and certification or five (5) years’ experience.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, preferred.
  • Interact in a courteous helpful manner with patients, clients and staff and to work effectively with a diverse population in a teamwork environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in optometric clinical procedures and theories.

Compensation:

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.

Optometry Technician I: $21.83 - $26.85/Hourly
