The Care Center Lead is responsible for successfully providing an enhanced level of support to the Practice Manager in the daily operations of the care center. The individual understands general office administrative duties and how to keep a care center clean and running efficiently. They are the first point of contact for the center and how to initiate and nurture relationships with our patients and current employees. Their ability to leave a great first impression can directly impact the success of the center.
Technical or Administrative Knowledge:
• Knowledge of processing insurance claims and patient billing• eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Job Functions, Unique Duties, and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Practice Manager with Claims Dashboard
• Review procedure charges and inpatient hospital charges to ensure accurate charge capture
• Communicate with the RCM team regarding claims or billing errors
• Obtain missing Procedure/Pathology reports, Progress notes, and other backup documentation needed for claims
• Communicate with Care Center providers regarding unlocked encounters and missing documentation
• Field patient billing questions
• Process refunds
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by Practice Manager.
