Armed Patrol Officer

Gates Security is seeking Armed Patrol Officers to join our dynamic team in Thousand Oaks. Patrol Officers will be responsible for responding to alarm calls, public disturbances, trespassing, burglaries, robberies, and other client service calls. We are currently filling positions within our patrol division. This is a vital role in our security team, and we are looking for professional, reliable, and courteous individuals to represent our company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to alarm calls, public disturbances, trespassing, burglaries, robberies, and other client service requests
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security
• Implement company policies, procedures, and security standards
• Provide a professional and courteous presence when interacting with clients, employees, and the public
• Maintain knowledge of security systems, including alarm, camera, and emergency response protocols
• Participate in field training to develop skills in officer safety, de-escalation, firearms use, and patrol tactics.
• Possible involvement in ATV and boat operations, special events, and continuing education programs

Required Qualifications:

• Open availability (including potential overnight shifts, based on company needs)
• BSIS Guard Card
• BSIS Firearm Permit
• BSIS Baton Permit

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of prior patrol experience
• California POST 832 certification (or equivalent), military, or law enforcement experience

• Security Patrol: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• BSIS Guard Card (Required)
