ABOUT THE POSITION: We are searching for an agile, results driven and collaborative Director of Logistics and Distribution responsible for developing and implementing a multi-year logistics strategy for Gathr Outdoors. They will be responsible for administrating the day-to-day operation execution of the transportation and warehouse functions to deliver cost savings and service delivery improvements while implementing highly complex operational initiatives. This leader should have international logistics experience, with heavy focus on Asia distribution. They will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, internal stakeholders and external partners such as 3PLs. The Logistics role will also effectively lead, develop and engage a high performing team while role modeling our company values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong partnership with the Sales team to ensure the right product is in the right place
- Develop and implement a logistics strategy, including short- and long-term vision, supported by annual objectives aligned with the Company’s strategic goals
- Manage day-to-day operational execution, including:
- Inbound freight from suppliers across all major transportation modes
- Transportation to/from manufacturing, operations, and warehouse locations
- Raw materials and finished goods across globe
- Develop the infrastructure and workflow for product availability focusing on optimizing working capital, cost, and service levels through effective logistics management, network models, and overall supply chain strategy.
- Ensure effective performance management and controls are in place for owned and operated warehouses, and through third party relationships.
- Support the needs of customers by ensuring relationships with carriers and customer service facilitate on time and in full delivery performance targets are being met
- Provide leadership on logistics processes and tools across the enterprise, including creating and implementing a supply chain dashboard which provides transparency and accountability for planning, fulfillment times, cost, and customer satisfaction
- Own and oversee all logistics related financial close activities, including but not limited to cost accruals and cost variance reporting
- Attract, develop, engage, and maximize performance of team members
- Provide guidance on current and future transportation costs, trends, and analyses.
- Must be able to interact with key distribution and transportation third party vendors
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- 10 years consumer goods experience as a Logistics leader with significant experience managing multi-channel distribution and multi-site locations
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, including demonstrated experience in lean six sigma methodology
- 8 years' experience leading and transforming a high performing logistic team
- Proficient in using technology, ERP systems and preferably Microsoft 365 Suite

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University required
