Job Summary:TheRNutilizes the nursing process to provide physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients and their families, including educational and discharge needs. With an average length of stay 25-30 days, the RN is able to develop strong relationships with our patients and play a critical role in their recovery. RN's at Gaylord Hospital have a voice in their practice and have a strong Shared Governance model in place.Qualifications:
- RN Diploma or ASN required
- BSN or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field preferred
- Current CT RN license required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification required
WORK SCHEDULE: 24 hours, nights, including every other weekend and holiday
Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:
Milne Units: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes:
- Continuous telemetry monitoring
- Ventilator support and weaning
- LVAD patient population
- Heart Transplant population
Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as:
- Stroke
- Complex wounds
- Telemetry
- Pulmonary care
Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population:
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Stroke
- Spinal cord Injury
