Gazelle North America is seeking an experienced retail or hospitality professional to provide exceptional customer experiences to our customers, dealers, and prospective customers. This role combines hospitality, brand education, retail, and social media support centered around an exciting product line, Gazelle electric bikes and an iconic 132-year-old brand, Royal Dutch Gazelle. You will have the unique opportunity to be part of both our Experience Center showroom and marketing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both retail and hospitality and be friendly, adaptable, creative, and resourceful. A passion for any and all types of cycling is a plus.

This person will work closely with the Gazelle Customer Experience Manager, Marketing Manager, Warehouse Coordinator, and occasional outside vendors and community organizations.
On the creative marketing side of this role, you will collaborate with the Marketing Manager to create and deploy social media content, maintain and execute a content calendar, nurture a local following across Facebook and Instagram, and help recruit and refine UGC for our blog. The ideal candidate will have previous social media and/or blog experience, photography and writing skills, an excellent eye for detail, and strong organizational skills. This individual should be comfortable working with Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, Hootsuite, blog platforms, and the Adobe Photoshop.

This job is located in Santa Cruz, California.
Together, we will develop and grow the brand, deliver consistently delightful visitor experiences, and lay the groundwork to become a leading bike brand in North America.
Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Support the Gazelle Experience Center (EC) by being at the forefront of our customer experience.
  • Greet, support, guide, and educate guests throughout the rental and/or visit
  • Make reservations for customers with the rental reservation software
  • Perform light maintenance on ebike demo fleet
  • Support guests pre-ride with bike orientation and route suggestions
  • Engage with guests post-ride with bicycle advice and locating local dealers
  • Support regional demo events
  • Organize and coordinate events at the EC
  • Perform local community outreach to improve local awareness and recognition
  • Create documentation for EC processes in Guru
  • Deliver virtual ebike consultations to customers booked through our website
  • Support EC inventory tracking and management
  • Check and answer rider support questions during weekends
Social Media & Creative Marketing Support
  • Prepare, maintain and execute social media plan for EC in collaboration with the Marketing Manager
  • Support broader brand social media efforts with guidance from the Marketing Manager
  • Perform customer outreach to acquire UGC for social media and blog channels
  • Create reels and stories content for social media
  • Create content with an emphasis on still photography for social media use
Capabilities / Experience Required:
  • 2 years of experience working in a high-end retail and/or hospitality role, cycling retail or rental business experience ideal
  • 1 years of experience managing or supporting social media
  • Excellent people skills with a passion for providing exceptional experiences
  • Proactive, resourceful approach with a positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with Meta platforms
  • Experience with blogging platforms, WordPress or similar
  • Experience with POS (point of sale) systems
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with ERP software is preferred but not required
  • Photography experience preferred but not required
  • Video editing experience preferred but not required
  • Technical support experience or familiarity with bicycle mechanics a plus
  • Ability to work weekends, work schedule is Thursday through Monday
Language Skills
Ability to read, comprehend, and explain documents in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.

Hourly Range
This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, industry experience and the interview with a potential range of up to $25 - $28/hour.
