Company: Marsh Description: Bowring Marsh, Special Risks Broker What can you expect? This entry level role is to join the Special Risks (Kidnap & Ransom) team at Marsh. We are seeking an individual who is looking for their first role in financial services whilst providing the opportunity to join one of the largest global insurance brokers. The team will have full responsibility for training the successful individual to ensure that they will develop into a competent and confident broker to undertake all of the roles outlined in the below key What you will be rewarded with? We will rely on you to: Manage client relationships, including market negotiation and client communication while adhering to strict turnaround times. Work within the Special Risks team in delivering the team’s sales strategy. Promote the Special Risks Team as the Centre of Excellence for Kidnap & Ransom and Piracy within MMC. New products are being developed and so the responsibility will be to drive this message out to the Marsh Global network. Participate in Special Risks team initiatives, including webinars, conferences, wording development and administrative duties. Delivery of budget goals driving profitable growth. Maintain and develop productive relationships with key Special Risks strategic insurance markets. Maintain and develop productive divisional relationships with key producing offices within the Marsh Global network. Maintenance of the highest professional and ethical standards whilst also adhering to strict confidentiality protocols in the handling of client affairs. Possible future domestic/international travel to support and develop existing and new relationships. Monitor Management Information Trackers. Ad hoc administration duties, as and when required. What you need to have: Prior broking experience preferred but not essential. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications. Business Acumen and commercial awareness. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sound research skills.
