In this role, you will work closely with Corporate and our healthcare suppliers; managing the delivery of our healthcare benefits to GE participants. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive "Best in Class Service" through scorecard management, contract compliance and establishing relationship with our healthcare suppliers. Successful candidate will be required to lead various cross cutting projects and initiatives.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage our healthcare suppliers through: effective relationship management, process management, measurements, operations, controllership, and contract compliance.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert providing review and consultation to the GE business teams regarding medical processes, escalations, and overall benefit coordination with other healthcare suppliers.
- Provide technical and functional expertise regarding medical related matters.
- Respond to client inquiries within reasonable time frames.
- Conduct root cause analysis for claims escalations and institute corrective actions, adhering to our high standard of customer service levels.
- Own, organize and maintain all information, systems and processes involved in administering employee medical programs and policy.
- Monitor and interpret clinical reports, monthly financial and delivery reports, identifying trends and opportunities to drive process improvements around key medical processes.
- Lead process improvements and project execution utilizing quality improvement tools including: Six Sigma, LEAN, Work-Out, and Change Acceleration methodologies.
- Project management activities including: defect identification and resolution, resource management, setting and achieving critical milestones, change order development and implementation, satisfaction pulsing, and system enhancement roll out.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in business administration with a focus on healthcare delivery)
Desired Characteristics:
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience, including development and execution of project plans, and demonstrated ability to drive results
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business administration with a focus on healthcare delivery or supplier management
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Healthcare Administration
- Minimum of 3 years of supplier management experience
- Industry expertise in healthcare administration/delivery (knowledge of benefits, claims processing and federal, state, healthcare, and other applicable regulatory laws)
- Benefits Delivery or related Healthcare Administrative experience
- Knowledge of quality methodologies (Six Sigma, LEAN, TQM, etc.). If internal, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Solid coaching, facilitation, and influencing skills; experience resolving escalated customer service issues
- Solid interpersonal skills; proven ability to develop and maintain required support relationships
- Self-starter who can manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision or guidance
- Solid analytical and process skills, including the ability to identify trends and develop innovative process improvements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience
