We have an immediate need for a First Shift Operations Leader. In this role, you will perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line includes Service Shops. This position requires an understanding of a concepts, methods, and procedures.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• As the 1st Shift Operations Leader, you will have oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees.
• Managing front-line manufacturing employees in safety, quality, and production.
• Own front-line manufacturing employee’s safety.
• Schedule front-line manufacturing employees daily.
• Expected to work with team to trouble shoot and resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
• Works together with people from the business unit.
• Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities, and giving explanations on technical issues.
• Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
• Ability to work in other operations to cover as needed.
• Own continuous improvement and lean improvement projects for your area.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing
• Minimum of 2 years of previous leadership / supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
• This position is 100% onsite in Schenectady, NY

Pay Transparency:

The base pay range for this position is $76,600-128,100.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.  Expected close date from career site is 11/02/23 or once a contender is identified.
